NARBUTAS at NeoCon’22 – “Nothing Unnecessary” in the modern workplace

This year NARBUTAS returns to NeoCon with a special focus on collaborations with designers. In its permanent showroom in theMART building, the Lithuania-based company presents its design motto “Nothing Unnecessary” through products developed with European designers. But this year is also special for the new partnership with US designer Annie Lee and its successful result – the ZooZoo collection, a coffee table with stylish stools.

“I do think that these types of more informal and formal meetings and get together is what’s going to have to bring people to come to the office. Lunch and learn or somebody’s getting married. All these things are now becoming very important in our culture-building as we go back to the office. And it needs a natural environment,” said Annie Lee, who believes offices will be full of people again, but in a different way than before the pandemic.

ZooZoo is something that could help bring employees back. The new collection is based on the idea of multifunctionality, housing, and community. The coffee table has a non-standard, yet in-between coffee and meeting table height. The 27.2" table invites people to communicate about work projects as well as chat about life, as it provides a more comfortable position and doesn't require you to bend halfway down when you need to reach or do something at the table. The ZooZoo stools have storage and can go under the table. They keep personal belongings safe and save space in the workplace.

“We are very happy with the result we achieved with Annie Lee. The ZooZoo collection is unique because of its design and its functionality – the ability to be used for many different purposes,” said Natalia Daubarė, President of NARBUTAS USA.

Another new collection from NARBUTAS that is presented at the exhibition is the ZEDO desk system, developed in collaboration with Italian designer Paolo Pampanoni. The collection stands out for its minimalist style, playfulness, and multifunctionality and thus can be set up both in an office or at home if employees prefer a hybrid working model and want to continue working exclusively or partially from home. Inspiring and stylish, but also extremely practical, functional, and full of combination possibilities, the system fulfills all the needs of a modern office and can be customized down to the smallest detail to suit the individual needs of employees. “We create the first design. The final one is created by the client,” Paolo Pampanoni says.

The new collections also reflect the vision NARBUTAS has for these collaborations. The designers search and develop ideas to create solutions to common, everyday problems. The company wants to help designers to turn their visions into reality by connecting ideas with its tools and teams of professional engineers, designers, and manufacturers NARBUTAS has. The successful, “Nothing unnecessary” outcomes then create a workspace where people feel they want to be.

In addition to the above-mentioned new products, the office furniture that has been recognized at the international interior design exhibitions will be presented to the US market at the NeoCon. These include the German Design Award-winning SOFT ROCK modular lounge seating system and the TWIST&SIT and TWIST&SIT Soft lounge seaters which won the Red Dot Award, the ARCIPELAGO modular lounge seating system, which was awarded the i-NOVO AWARDS, the NORTH CAPE office chair, which was recognized with the Red Dot Award, as well as the inspiring and elegant MOVE&LEAD executive office furniture.

NARBUTAS offers a particularly wide range of furniture for all office spaces, from reception areas, executive offices, kitchens, or lounge areas to individual or collaborative workspaces and meeting rooms. Products can be selected from the catalogs or individually produced according to the client’s needs.

The international office furniture manufacturing company NARBUTAS started its activities in the US market after its first appearance at the NeoCon in 2018. “We were noticed, received positive feedback, and, despite the highly competitive US market, saw our opportunities,” Natalia Daubarė said. “We currently have permanent showrooms in New York and Chicago. They allow us to better understand the needs of the market and clients as well as ensure feedback. We are delighted to have the opportunity to operate in such a strong and challenging market.”
