Kirei is pleased to announce three new Acoustic Ceiling Tile (ACT) products: Hatch ACT, Sidebar ACT, and Gather ACT. While ACT grids are specifically designed and installed to absorb unwanted sound in offices, studios, and conference rooms, they often lack the opportunity for creativity, and alternative options often come with a higher cost. Kirei’s ACT Pack provides designers and their clients with simple, stunning, cost-effective solutions to harness the power of the grid without breaking the budget. Now, they can infuse color and texture—and with Kirei Ink printing—offer a variety of customized material options, from wood grains to natural textures.
The three tiles include: Hatch ACT: One part Art Deco, one part Frank Lloyd Wright. Mix in a dash of techno synth-wave music, and you have Kirei Hatch ACT, a 9mm tile etched with woven lines to suspend visual boundaries. Sidebar ACT: A tile with subtle depth, the Kirei Sidebar is the show-stopping solution to your boring T-grid. From the bullpen to the breakroom, Sidebar creates striking linear ceilings that are anything but ordinary. Gather ACT: A deceptively simple 9mm tile that elevates ceiling grid sophistication. With simple, grooved lines in a graduating array, the tile creates a sense of visual rhythm that can easily be dropped in any standard T-grid ceiling.
The new ceiling tiles are designed to align, flip, or rotate to create unique textures and patterns within a standard 15/16” grid. Designers can specify a single color or an array, and amplify further with Kirei Ink, an in-house printing service offering remarkably realistic quality. With Kirei Ink, designers can seamlessly blend the natural beauty of botanicals with subtle or striking natural textures from more than 50 Kirei Ink prints, or print any custom color, pattern, graphic, or material onto the products. All three ACT products are available in two sizes (2’ x 2’ and 2’ x 4’) and can be customized as needed.
“ACT Ceilings are a core part of modern commercial buildings. With this collection, we wanted to show the world that even though we are designing for the grid, we can still surprise and delight,” says Michael DiTullo, Head of Product Innovation for Carnegie Acoustic Solutions. “Our ACT collection enhances acoustic performance while elevating the aesthetic of the common ACT grid. At the same time, we remain conscious of cost and sustainability, offering three unique designs crafted from recycled materials. Adding our industry-leading Kirei Ink high-resolution printing is the icing on the cake.”
Kirei products are made from 60% post-consumer recycled plastics, so designers can be sure that every product they specify diverts plastic bottles from the waste stream. All of the products meet or exceed CDPH standards for VOCs and are Red List Free and Declare Label qualified/certified. Built with Materials that Matter™, they are inherently Class A fire-rated, carry an HPD and EPD, and qualify for LEED and WELL building credits.
