NanaWall has completed its latest product family, Generation 4. A culmination of the brand’s four decades of innovation, this collection combines sleek design with superior performance, setting a new industry standard for folding glass walls. The comprehensive product line includes solutions for both residential and commercial projects, from exterior to interior applications.
The Generation 4 product family, available in aluminum, wood, and clad frames, offers a host of advanced features and benefits. Leading the industry with ultra-thin profiles at less than 2 inches, Generation 4 blurs the lines between indoors and outdoors while maintaining exceptional energy efficiency. FourFold and SixFold panel sets offer flexibility and width, with systems capable of spanning over 100 feet. This allows for unlimited opening widths with floating panels unattached to the side jamb that can stack to the left, right, or center of the opening.
"Building on decades of innovation, we are immensely proud to complete the Generation 4 family, which embodies our commitment to industry-leading design," said Ebrahim Nana, President and CEO of NanaWall. "Within Generation 4, you will find a product that offers a solution for any project, ensuring customers can achieve their design and performance goals with ease."
The Generation 4 product line features turnkey design elements, offering beautiful aesthetics and nearly unlimited customization across different materials and configurations. The collection is made up of eight systems:
NW Aluminum 640 & 840: offers superior thermal performance and taller heights with the slimmest aluminum profiles available
NW Wood 540: features the slimmest solid wood framed folding glass wall from sustainably harvested premium wood
NW Clad 740: comprised of slim solid wood profiles on the interior and durable aluminum profile on the outside
NW Acoustical 645 & 545: provides superior acoustical buffering to achieve up to a unit STC 45 with either aluminum or solid wood profiles
NW Reinforced 647 & 847: engineered for mid and high-rise buildings where higher-wind load requirements and limits to deflection are needed
Unlike any other folding glass wall systems on the market, Generation 4 offers the smoothest and easiest operation available. A Gothic Arch Roller allows these folding glass walls to transform spaces effortlessly, enabling up to 90% of an opening to be usable—a significant improvement over traditional sliders. Independently tested, Generation 4 systems are certified for air, water, structural, operation, acoustics, and forced entry performance.
Additional benefits include:
Low Profile Sills: Four sill options with removable inserts reduce the concern of high-heeled shoes getting caught in tracks. In addition, the Low Profile Saddle Sill is ADA-compliant (and easier on bare feet).
Unmatched Ease of Operation: The highly advanced Gothic Arch Roller System enables panels to glide open and closed by anyone by reducing friction—smoothly, quickly, and effortlessly. NanaWall’s unique width adjustment feature maintains consistent seal compression while guarding against alignment problems caused by settling.
Concealed Cabling: A multipurpose frame insert conceals the frame attachment for a sleek look and can hide security and lighting control cabling, enhancing aesthetics by eliminating visible frame anchoring points.
Superior Insulation and Security: Exclusive Bionic Turtle® technology provides an insulating thermal break within the frame, adding extra comfort and energy efficiency. It also furnishes a concealed channel that houses locking rods—adding security and enabling slimmer profiles.
Structural Integrity: Air, water, structural, operation, and forced entry tested. Swing door tested to 500,000 cycles and bi-fold panels to 20,000 cycles, equating to approximately 27 years of use.
NanaWall’s commitment to quality and innovation is evident in the Generation 4 collection, which has already garnered industry accolades for its application in residential, commercial, and hospitality projects. The collection’s multiple sill options and unlimited customized configurations make choosing the right system easy for architects, builders, homeowners, and design professionals.
