Over the past decade, the definition of making has evolved. Today, making happens wherever people come together to explore ideas, solve problems, collaborate, and create. From STEM classrooms and science labs to libraries, healthcare settings, and public spaces, future-ready environments require adaptable furniture solutions that support multiple modes of learning and engagement.
The Maker Project addresses these needs by balancing industrial durability with human-centered design. Many of the collection’s most successful additions, including these enhancements, originated from customer requests and project-specific applications. By bringing these proven solutions into the standard offering, Versteel gives customers greater flexibility to use a single collection throughout an entire project. From better organization and workflow to greater comfort and personalization, The Maker Project is now more adaptable to a wider range of environments and activities while maintaining the cohesive design language and handcrafted character that define the collection.
Crafted using Versteel’s signature Studio Steel® process, The Maker Project celebrates the authenticity of American steel and manufacturing through visible welds and handcrafted details. Designed and manufactured in Jasper, Indiana, the collection reflects Versteel’s commitment to quality craftsmanship, flexibility, and customer-driven innovation.
As the Maker Project enters its next decade, Versteel continues to evolve the collection through customization and problem-solving, supporting the changing ways people learn, work, and create while delivering more possibilities than ever before. Whether selecting from the expanded standard offering or exploring a project-specific solution, customers can rely on The Maker Project to adapt to their unique needs.
