Architectural Materials Inspire Ground Work, a New Flooring Collection by EF Contract

The inspiration for the Ground Work collection pulled directly from materials used in building; masonry, wood, and steel. The designs take these industrial elements and turn them into artistry.

“Although the original inspiration for this collection stems from rough and raw materials, the design ends up being sophisticated and rich with texture,” explains Laura Holzer, Design Director, Commercial.

The two patterns in the collection offer striking differences yet work together cohesively. Crosscut demonstrates sharp definition and dynamic texture, designed to cut through the ordinary with a more pronounced pattern. Masonry evokes the strength of stone with a sense of elegance and finished with a tactile experience. The eight colorways lean neutral with a mix of warm and cool.

Both patterns, available as 18” x 36”, are crafted from 100% Encore® SD Nylon. Three colors in each pattern are available in EF Contract’s Quickship program—available in 10 business days or less for orders up to 1,500 square yards on standard backing systems.

The line coordinates effortlessly across all EF Contract product platforms, including broadloom, LVT, and Kinetex textile composite flooring, giving designers the flexibility they need to create distinctive, expressive spaces with ease.
