Kasthall introduces three new rug collections: Ida, Ori, and Shifting, alongside new colorways for the established collection Chique. Ida and Ori showcase the brand's mastery of weaving with pure wool, while Shifting highlights innovation in tufting, using yarn development to create depth and sensory presence. The rugs reflect a blend of precision and tactile softness, crafted at the mill in Kinna, where all production processes occur under one roof.
Ida features a complex, manually guided design inspired by Scandinavian traditions, demanding close attention from the weaver. In contrast, Ori emphasizes clarity and repetition, presenting a graphic rhythm with a flatwoven structure. Shifting, a high-pile rya rug, is inspired by the Swedish west coast, while Chique offers a soft, tactile experience with new colorways. Together, these collections embody a contemporary design culture rooted in skilled craftsmanship and material knowledge.
