A New Perspective on Flooring: J+J’s View Making Explores Depth, Geometry, and Organic Texture

The latest collection from J+J Flooring is centered around perspective and how each individual views the world and design, differently. Varying sightlines and angles produce a different effect.

“Each of the three patterns in the collection invites you to stop, reconsider, and reflect,” explained Laura Holzer, Design Director, Commercial Division. “It explores movement, depth, and dimension. We wanted to keep it somewhat organic in nature, but yet maintain some geometry to the patterns as well.”

The three patterns in the collection offer distinct options that collectively work together. Traverse features the largest scale pattern with its broken geometric lines. Vantage with its small windowpane patterning reads more organic based on added texturing. Panorama blends strong horizontal and vertical lines with the blurred texture from the yarn construction.

Added Holzer, “The other interesting aspect to this collection is the color story. The four color families provide a large variety of choices and amount of color in each pattern. This provides designers so many options and works so well for school spirit choices, brand identity, and even wayfinding.”

The 24” x 24” tiles are intentionally designed to coordinate across the J+J Flooring platform: carpet tile, broadloom, LVT, and Kinetex textile composite flooring.

View Making is created using 100% Encore SD Nylon with optional Advance Modular Carpet Backing that provides a PVC-free alternative and comes with outstanding performance protection and stability. Like all J+J Flooring products, the View Making collection is domestically produced.
