Designtex has expanded its range of biobased textiles with the introduction of Terrene and Mote, two designs focused on comfort and connection. These textiles feature a soft, neutral palette and are designed to create calm and restorative environments. Terrene showcases an asymmetrical stripe that adds organic rhythm, while Mote offers a solid, versatile base. Both fabrics are suitable for high-traffic areas and complement Designtex’s first biobased upholstery, Ethos. Terrene and Mote are made with a postconsumer recycled polyester backing and a silicone topcoat derived from domestically sourced corn, each verified to contain 12% biobased content.
