Knoll Textiles introduces Altiplano by Sheila Hicks, 1966

Knoll Textiles is reintroducing "Altiplano" by Sheila Hicks, originally launched in 1966, as part of their fall archival reissues. Hicks, an artist known for her exploration of color and textile construction, began her professional relationship with Knoll after meeting Florence Knoll, which allowed her to incorporate Andean weaving techniques into commercial design. The reissued "Altiplano" features a mid-scale checker pattern that reflects the traditional designs of the Andes and is produced with environmentally conscious practices. Sheila Hicks, an influential figure in textile art, has had her works included in major collections worldwide, and Knoll Textiles continues to honor its legacy of innovative textile design since its founding in 1947.
