Chemetal Introduces Resist: Three New Scratch-Resistant HPL Metals for Higher Traffic Applications

Chemetal, a leading manufacturer of metal designs for interior spaces, announces the launch of Resist, 3 new scratch and fingerprint-resistant HPL metals.

Engineered for enhanced durability, these cutting-edge Class A fire rated surfaces combine a refined matte metal finish with superior scratch resistance, making them ideal for today’s demanding commercial environments.

Starting with a simple and elegant color palette- Stainless, Champagne and Black are the available hues- Resist features a short metal brushing that subtly reflects light.

“It’s a contemporary look with added performance,” says Chemetal Creative Director Geoff Schaefer. The designs are recommended for vertical applications in a range of interiors, from corporate and hospitality to retail and restaurant settings. It’s an HPL metal, meaning a metal foil on a laminate backer, that’s familiar, affordable and easy for millworkers to fabricate.

“Resist brings the energy and sophistication of metal into design spaces— with added durability,” notes Schaefer. “It’s a surface solution that looks premium, performs beautifully, and stands up better to the everyday wear of commercial interiors.”
