KFI Studios is pleased to introduce Tumble, a new occasional table collection designed by Union Design. With sustainability at the forefront, Tumble transforms discarded textiles into beautiful furniture, giving new life to materials that would otherwise end up in landfills.
“Tumble represents our ongoing commitment to beautiful, sustainable design,” says Chris Smith, CEO of KFI Studios.
At the heart of Tumble is a circular tabletop crafted from shredded and compressed textiles. The process results in a distinctive flecked surface, giving each top a one-of-a-kind look. The top is paired with a sculptural wood base featuring a cutout design inspired by the universal tumble-dry laundry symbol, subtly tying together the concept of textile reuse with the form itself.
“Inspired by the recycled textile top, we wanted the base to connect with that narrative as well,” says Jeff Theesfeld of Union Design. “Referencing the tumble-dry symbol offered a graphic yet understated way to relate the material story with the overall design.”
Tumble is available in two sizes: a 15”x21” side table and a 23”x16” coffee table. Engineered with a slotted base, the table ships flat to minimize packaging and reduce its environmental impact. The textile tabletop is available in grey or black, while the ash veneer base is offered in natural, timber, or black wood stain.
With its soft silhouette, open form, and sustainability-driven design, Tumble brings a light and airy presence to lounge and collaborative spaces, offering a refined take on conscious design.
