Dramatic Works Translates Spectrum of Light into EF Contract’s Latest Kinetex Flooring Collection

Inspired by light’s ability to convey radiant energy and momentum, the Dramatic Works collection was designed to illuminate and elevate the ambiance of contemporary interiors. With the debut of its latest Kinetex launch, EF Contract continues to expand its portfolio of innovative, coordinating flooring options for all specifiers. Combining the performance attributes of hard-surface flooring with the softness and warmth of carpet, this textile composite flooring collection is a versatile solution, perfectly suited for corporate, education, healthcare, retail and institutional environments.

“Dramatic Works represents the wonder and drama found in something we experience and perceive every day without even thinking about it,” said Marie Moore, director of design for EF Contract. “The technological advancements behind Kinetex allow us to create innovative, beautiful, and durable flooring products that are light-years ahead of what we could have designed in the past. With Kinetex, we’re able to take these visuals and reinterpret them into engaging, textural floorscapes that combine the best qualities of carpet and hard surfaces.”

The multi-format collection consists of two coordinating products designed to translate natural phenomena into flooring. Dual is a 24" x 24" tile that mimics the appearance of shifting shadows, diffused and scattered across the floor plane. Double is an 18" x 36" tile that channels light waves refracted into scattered slivers across the floorscapes. Styles and colorways from both products can be used separately or together to create unified flooring systems that seamlessly undulate from one space to another. Neutral base and accent colorways offer a variety of options for effective wayfinding and branding throughout commercial interiors.

With the latest Kinetex collection launch comes the introduction of four energetic accent colors for the larger textile composite flooring platform, including vibrant purple, orange, green, and red, bringing the total number of colorways to nine. The colorways span a useful, neutral palette of cooler and warmer grays, along with striped accents and a control pattern that coordinates and connects back to each style. Behind the crisp color, vibrant patterns, and dimensional design of Kinetex is EF Contract’s High-Def Color Technology.

Dramatic Works effortlessly coordinates across all of EF Contract’s product platforms, including modular carpet tile, broadloom, LVT, and other Kinetex styles, providing a comprehensive suite of flooring solutions.

“We’re committed to giving our customers more options that build on one another in color and design, format, and end use,” added Moore. “This way, they are not only able to create easy, cohesive transitions, but they are also able to do more with their designs with fewer limitations by integrating and blending our expansive palette of floorcoverings.”

With its lifetime warranty, Kinetex tiles are guaranteed to withstand foot traffic and continued use. Kinetex offers the highest Noise Reduction Coefficients and Impact Insulation Classifications ratings of any commercial flooring product.
