3form proudly introduces their Etched Glass Collection, featuring textural, patterned glass in six new patterns. The collection adds dimension to a classic architectural material, highlighting both the versatility of the company’s high-performance glass and the precision of its cutting-edge etching technology.
Showcasing the transformative impact of an etched finish on glass, the collection includes six distinct patterns ranging from delicate florals to bold curves. Among them, three patterns are biophilia-inspired and are currently available as pattern options in Varia, the company’s translucent, formable resin. Star Flower Etch features dainty floral blooms with elongated stems, evoking a sense of ornate beauty when viewed up close. The Mountain Fern Etch is elegant and feathery, while the Anahew Palm Etch features bold, abstract representations of large white palms.
The remaining three patterns are an adaptation of the company’s Textures Collection, released in September 2023. The art deco–inspired Deco Etch features bold, offset curves and lines. Bravo Etch and Shutter Etch adorn both sides of the glass—Bravo exhibits a three-dimensional, geometric design, while Shutter’s offset lines offer enhanced privacy.
This collection adds to the company’s 26 existing glass etch patterns. “We are scratching the surface of our glass capabilities,” said 3form’s Chief Creative Officer, Ryan Smith. “This collection is just a starting point—when you think about pairing these etch patterns with color and our different hardware and glass solutions, you realize the options are limitless.”
3form’s micro-sandblasting etching process is unique to the industry, resulting in finishes with unmatched precision and resolution. When ordering from 3form, designers don’t have to contend with minimums or sheet requirements, making the company’s glass accessible to projects of all scales.
The Etched Glass Collection is available in monolithic or laminated glass specified with low-iron or clear-float and comes in a maximum panel size of 5’x10’ with 3/16", 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" gauges. Shutter is only available as a monolithic low-iron lite and comes in 3/8" and 1/2" gauges. Designers should anticipate a lead time of five weeks.
