LightArt Launches Acoustic Sequence: A Seamless Union of Noise Absorption, Light, and Design

LightArt proudly unveils Acoustic Sequence, an exciting new addition to their award-winning collection of acoustic solutions. Built for ultimate versatility, Acoustic Sequence’s modular platform offers designers the flexibility to transform spaces of any size. Individual acoustic fins form grid components that can be seamlessly connected to span large areas. With the option to include LightArt’s high-performance Casper Beams, Acoustic Sequence delivers a fully integrated ceiling option that combines effective noise reduction, industry-leading illumination, and striking visual appeal.

LightArt offers a range of standard customization options for Acoustic Sequence, making tailored solutions more accessible. The customization journey begins with the acoustic fins, which are available in six distinct shapes. Fin style 1 features soft, pillow-like edges. Style 2 captures the fluid motion of sound waves, while style 3 reflects the rugged peaks of mountain landscapes. The fins of styles 2 and 3 repeat and mirror when used to form larger grids, creating a subtle, undulating visual effect.

For a playful twist, Style 4, dubbed Duo, allows designers to select a color for the top and bottom half of the fins, which fan in an alternating fashion to form an accordion pattern. Styles 5 and 6, collectively known as Angles, feature fins with deeply curved ends and squared-off edges, respectively. As the name suggests, these fins can be installed at angles of up to 45 degrees. The angle of the fins can be uniform across the installation or gradually change for a soft, flowing effect.

In addition to the six styles, the fins come in three height options—5", 7.5", and 10"—and lengths of 4', 6', or 8'. Designers can also specify the spacing of the fins—4", 6", or 8" spacing options are standard—offering a spectrum of ceiling coverage options. Made from 3form's Sola Felt, an acoustic material composed of 50% post-consumer recycled content, the fins are available in 22 standard colors and four wood-inspired textures: Iron Oak, Carmel Oak, Walnut, and Rich Bamboo.

For spaces requiring both noise reduction and high-performance lighting, Acoustic Sequence pairs seamlessly with LightArt’s Casper Beam, available in sleek 2" or 4" profiles. Casper Beam’s fully illuminated form interacts dynamically with the repeating fins, producing a compelling interplay of light and shadow that enhances the Acoustic Sequence’s depth and dimension. Simultaneously, it delivers superior color consistency (rated 3 SDCM) to ensure a smooth, even lighting experience with options for RGB and tunable white lighting. While Casper Beams are the standard lighting option, designers can also pair Acoustic Sequence with LightArt’s Stratta and Static Link fixtures, unlocking more configuration and design possibilities.

Acoustic Sequence’s modular design and adaptability make it a universal solution ideal for a variety of environments—from small spaces like conference rooms, reception desks, and retail spaces, to large footprints like open-plan offices, airports, and educational institutions. Its design delivers more than just visual appeal—Acoustic Sequence excels in sound absorption, with an NRC rating between 0.5 and 1.0 depending on the customization options selected. This performance makes it particularly effective for noise control in high-traffic zones, like hospitality venues, gymnasiums, and school cafeterias.

As with all of LightArt’s solutions, Acoustic Sequence is engineered for ease of installation. The company developed a patented attachment that effortlessly snaps into Unistrut, allowing for quick and hassle-free setup on site. The modular design supports both partial and full ceiling coverage, giving designers flexibility for future expansions or reconfigurations.

Both the Sola Felt material—used to form the fins—and the Casper Beams are Red List Free Declare Label certified, reinforcing LightArt’s commitment to environmentally responsible design.
