After generating buzz at NeoCon 2023 while on display in its award-winning showroom, Hightower with its brand partner +Halle has officially launched the Boulevard collection in the U.S. Designed by Toronto-based MSDS Studio, Boulevard allows users to intuitively lean while resting or actively working. Imagine a bird perched comfortably on a branch—with a laptop.
The concept for Boulevard was born during +Halle’s first-annual briefing, which had the overarching theme of Dwelling. This focus on Dwelling was in the context of short rests, daily contemplations, and deep reflections. Boulevard is one of three collections that came out of the briefing, reflecting different durations of dwelling but all pointing to the same distinct purpose.
Boulevard is complete with six modules in varied widths and curved options which allow for custom configuration to fit the desired layout of any given space. Boulevard’s slim profile allows it to create seating within traditionally unused space around columns, corners, and walls. The modules are composed of a steel base with powder coat finish and upholstered seats/tops. An optional solid oak table is available on the straight modules.
“The Boulevard collection is purpose-built for an active space when people are in need of a pause,” noted Natalie Hartkopf, Hightower co-owner and CEO. “In a lounge or breakout area, the importance of places for respite has increased. Boulevard taps into that and the growing need for a quick sit now that we’re back to coworking in person, allowing for a brief break and a deep breath. It’s also a great option for a quick reprieve in hospitality and other public spaces.”
