New from modern workplace brand 3form Elements comes an expansion of sophisticated, modular Profile patterns inspired by ancient architecture. Now available in five new linear repeats—Cord, Crimp, Groove, Ruffle, and Rumble—the panels draw design inspiration from fluting, a traditional architectural feature dating back to ancient Greek columns. Applicable as reception desks, elevator bays, hallways, and signage backdrops, the modular, decorative panels bring texture, warmth, and drama to any commercial space.
“When we looked at our Profile patterns as a whole, we saw an opportunity to add more minimal, sophisticated designs,” says Chris Pales, 3form Elements’ Brand Manager. “These aesthetically pleasing patterns provide a uniform and sequential complexity to round out a designer’s options for this modular solution.”
3form Elements’ Profile collection is known for its geometric repeats, ranging from intricate chevron designs to engraved circles and wave-like patterns. With such a wide variety of dynamic designs, 3form saw the chance to expand Profile’s offerings with pared-down, refined additions. After testing various widths, depths, and textures, the final five designs rose to the top. Similar in style, each linear pattern has subtle width and depth differences that resemble everything from tight pinstripes to pillar-like designs.
“While we continue striving to push the boundaries of design, this is a good example of how focusing on something sophisticated and minimal can lead to a great collection,” says Pales.
Available in 30 Merino felt colorways—ranging from vibrant hues like Goldenrod to muted Taupe tones— and 37 standard finishes—like Enamel White, Fossil Gray, and Warm Bamboo, just to name a few—Profile’s sharp patterns effortlessly contrast with the material’s soft texture. Easily specifiable in FF&E Packages, Profile is accessible through local 3form Elements authorized furniture dealers across the United States and Canada.
Each 44" x 96" Profile Panel can be made from MDF, Fire-rated MDF, or Wood in Baltic Birch or Poplar.
