Marc Newson's task chair for Knoll swivels in a single-line silhouette

Four years after the launch of the Newson aluminum chair for Knoll, the Australian industrial designer introduces his first Task chair for the German brand. The new piece of furniture is characterized by its single-line silhouette with a cantilevered shape which makes the seat appear to float. ‘In the lifetime of any designer, you’ll struggle to find a project that’s more complex than a task chair — on many levels,’ said Marc Newson.

The Newson Task Chair features an organic design packed with sophisticated hidden technology. A brand new tilt innovation is cleverly hidden under the seat, flipping the mechanism vertically to adjust to the user’s preference. Tailored to fit a wide variety of bodies, the new chair ‘supports your ambitions with quiet confidence and empowers you to take on anything.’
