AMAI, the Flemish expression for "wow", is the name of the versatile new outdoor/ indoor furniture system for contract spaces by Extremis. The design is materialized using two A-shaped side frames (echoing two As in AMAI) as its solid base structure, sandwiching an adjustable tabletop in two heights with matching adjustable chairs and benches for a range of communal uses at home. For example, a full cooktop can be integrated for dining and entertainment experiences; electricity and LED lights are available that enable working and meeting during day and night; a retractable canopy allows prolonged outdoor activities, and the shade serves double duty with acoustic capabilities when used indoors.
All in all, with COVID restrictions, rolled back, AMAI is the perfect and versatile "tool for togetherness" this summer, which is Extremis's key mission when designing every single piece within their collection.
