Artcobell’s Soft Rocker Brings Flexibility and Purposeful Movement to the Classroom

Artcobell has launched its latest product, Soft Rocker, improving how students experience learning spaces. This introduction is a continuation of previous Artcobell seating solutions and is a direct response to studies that show how activity-permissive learning spaces help prevent student fatigue and promote engagement.

“At Artcobell, we believe classroom furniture should do more than fill a room — it should actively support how students learn best,” said Patricia Cadigan, Chief Development Officer at Artcobell. “The Soft Rocker is the latest example of our commitment to designing research-driven solutions that meet students where they are. By giving learners safe, purposeful movement options, we’re helping schools create environments that boost focus, reduce fatigue, and ultimately improve learning outcomes.”

The Soft Rocker provides gentle motion that calms or stimulates depending on the needs of the student. While allowing for movement, the intentional design and engineering prevent “over-rocking.” In addition to allowing students choice of movement, the all-foam construction makes each Soft Rocker easy to move and reconfigure.

The three sizes of Soft Rockers (with 14”, 16” and 18” seat heights) provide a seating option that fits many learners. It is available in single or dual-tone vinyl styles, which allow for design flexibility.

Cadigan continued, “We know that every classroom looks different, so flexibility is key. With three sizes, lightweight construction, and a wide range of finish options, the Soft Rocker adapts to a variety of learning environments. It gives educators and designers the freedom to create classrooms that are both functional and inspiring, while still supporting the diverse needs of students.”
