The Emilio Velvet Collection by Jeannene Doub for Jamie Stern Fabric sits at the intersection of retro chic and timeless practicality. By executing classic mid-century design motifs in the highest-performing modern velvets, The Emilio Collection brings new energy to upholstery options.

These velvets enhance Jamie Stern Fabric’s existing collection of subtle solids and understated weaves with playful and colorful new options in four patterns and 19 colorways total.

“I wanted to add more drama to our textile line by introducing graphic patterns and bolder colors,” said Jeannene Doub, Director of Design and Development – Fabric Division. “Up to this point, our fabrics consisted primarily of textures and solids. Emilio’s retro-inspired aesthetic complements our existing offerings as well as makes a strong design statement on its own.”

4 Patterns, Infinite Applications The Emilio Velvet Collection draws inspiration from classic mid-century graphics and colors, with patterns such as small repeating ovals and playful sketch-like squares, as well as bold and tactile velvets in shades of clear blue, bright pink and rich green. The Emilio Collection is as durable as it is eye-catching, making these new fabrics perfect complements to both hospitality and residential projects.

The collection includes four patterns: • Rondelle, a delicate fusion of architectural influences and artistic inspirations, features bold, multi-colored ellipses on a muted ground, a motif that mimics the ornamental discs found in decorative stained glass for the which the pattern is named. 3 colorways. • Kensington Square features bold squares of varying sizes in an energetic pattern and bold colorway that embody the dynamic energy and timeless appeal of its namesake garden in London. 4 colorways. • DaVoe, a classic jewel-toned solid with a lush hand and gorgeous drape in a high-quality construction that ensures both comfort and durability, making it suitable for upholstery, drapery and other creative applications. 7 colorways. (This velvet passes NFPA 701 for drapery.) • Radiance, a tonal chenille velvet with a sumptuous hand that combines the elegance of a linen velvet with the practicality of a performance velvet, making it a perfect combination of style and durability. 5 colorways.

Born of Passion, Created for Practicality Beginning with a soft launch in 2020, The Jamie Stern Fabric division has grown to comprise more than 400 SKUs ranging from performance fabrics to more decorative fabrics that emphasize the use of natural, sustainable fibers. “After a lifetime involved in textiles and design, we decided the timing was perfect to introduce fabric to the Jamie Stern package,” Jeannene explained. “We used the isolation of the pandemic to design and curate our initial introduction of the fabric division, which we have refined as the division has grown. To meet our standards, every textile has to be both beautiful and usable.”

The expansion of the division is an exciting strategic opportunity to enhance Jamie Stern Furniture, Carpet, Leather & Fabric’s signature role as a creative partner to interior designers, to bring unparalleled options for upholstery to market and further expand designers’ choices for uniquely-designed products. Designers can partner with Jamie Stern Design to create one-of-a-kind pieces, from frame to fabric to fabrication, for contract, hospitality and residential projects.

“After having worked with a number of established fabric companies throughout my career, I am excited to be able to contribute from the ground up in creating a fabric source that’s synergistic with our other divisions,” Jeannene said. “Because this division started with a blank canvas, I’m energized by the endless possibilities of color, weave and pattern.”
