Introducing Material Matters by Jeannene Doub for Jamie Stern: Sophisticated, Subtle, Sustainable Textiles That Balance Elegant Interior Design with Responsible Environmental Stewardship
Form and function combine beautifully in Material Matters by Jeannene Doub for Jamie Stern Fabric, a new collection of contemporary boucles, refreshed plaids and bespoke textures. Created of natural, sustainable, luxurious fibers woven from the finest European mills and executed in a palette of soft, muted tones such as off-white, gray and earthy neutrals, these fabrics bring sophistication and serenity to any design scheme.
“When designing this collection, we wanted to draw attention to the role fiber plays in a fabric's composition, which is as important as color or pattern to the overall design,” said Jeannene Doub. “Our concept was simple: start with the finest natural fibers and use a minimalist color palette within a tightly-edited range of patterns and textures to highlight the roles surface dimension, weave and fiber content play in beautiful fabrics. This perspective is reflected in the collection’s name, Material Matters.”
Working closely with boutique European mills, where skilled craftspeople employ traditional techniques to select appropriate fiber and craft textiles, Jeannene created a coordinated collection designed to work harmoniously together or as singular entities in any interior setting.
