LightArt Introduces Minimalist Fixture With Limitless Configurations

LightArt launches the latest addition to their Casper Collection—a sleek, white, architectural light fixture with a minimal profile evenly illuminated on all four sides. The new Casper’s slim form and unique modular joints effortlessly connect, enabling continuous light runs for a full ceiling solution, as well as the ability to form intricate shapes and patterns. The latest introduction maximizes the original Casper Collection’s performance features, allowing designers to specify from a multitude of lighting options including tunable white and color-changing RGB options—the new design delivers soft and even illumination on walls, and work surfaces while providing subtle up lighting to avoid the harsh shadows often created by fixtures with direct lighting. The enhanced Casper beams and pendants are lighter weight than their predecessor, with reduced components and materials used for construction and a top rail to easily modify hang points as the fixtures are moved and adjusted.

With their newest launch, LightArt completely redesigned Casper from the ground up—the LEDs, drivers, the lens, and the housing construction were all redeveloped. Through the redesign process, LightArt achieved a 30% reduction in weight across all components, resulting in minimized material waste. While officially rated for an impressive 70k operational hours, its anticipated longevity exceeds 100k hours, equating to roughly 15 years of use.

“The new Casper line reflects LightArt’s leadership in the lighting industry—we’re developing beautiful, performance-based lighting with a multitude of features for designers to specify,” said Edwin Vice, Director of R&D at LightArt. “Hand-crafted artisan fixtures are a part of our DNA—we’re taking that knowledge and those skill sets and applying them to high-performance decorative, architectural lighting. Because of our background, we have a keen understanding of how to manufacture lighting using our experience in scale, color, technology, and environmental responsibility.”

The Casper Collection’s versatility provides designers with a blank canvas to explore their creative vision. Its applications span a broad spectrum, encompassing healthcare facilities, educational institutions, commercial offices, and the dynamic hospitality sector. The integration of RGB and tunable white further amplifies its utility, allowing for adaptable color schemes based on the surrounding environment, effectively illuminating ceilings, walls, and the surrounding space while mitigating glare. Casper beams and pendants come in 2” and 4” Height profiles and 24” – 96” Length in 12” increments. Modular components are available in 90, 108, 120, and 135 degree angles. A PVC-free power cord and TGIC-free powder coat are standard on all LightArt products. The Luminaires are CSA listed conforming to UL Standards.
