It's a Reunion and You're Invited! HBF Textiles' newest collection ignites nostalgia and joy

Like family, Reunion is a lively gathering of textiles to create a collection that’s fresh, new and timely. Inseparable in spirit, yet each strong enough to stand on its own, the members of this family work with one another and have their own unique personalities that make them stand out. They'll build in performance attributes and expand designers’ color options too! This collection is all about surface interest, connected color stories, durability, and a wink and a nod—so get ready for some fun.

“The Reunion collection was a true labor of love,” explains Mary Jo Miller, Vice President of Design and Creative Direction at HBF Textiles. “Taking a trip down memory lane to develop Lawn Chair was an emotional and wonderful exercise in both storytelling and design. And being able to reunite and collaborate with Ghislaine Vinas for Ms. Quilty 2.0 was so fun and inspiring. I feel unique connections to each of the patterns and I am overjoyed with the collection as a whole.”

At the heart of the Reunion collection is Lawn Chair designed by Mary Jo Miller. Inspired by fond childhood memories of her mother’s group of friends known as the “coffee clutch crew” in the 1960’s, each colorway is named after a member of the ‘crew’ as a heartfelt homage: Joanne (her mom), Barb, Bonnie, Jane, Patti and Peggy. Crafted with a cool retro vibe and a contemporary, playful take on the outdoor classic, this fabric works both indoors and outdoors. Designed after the woven strap detail of the aluminum lawn chairs her mom and friends gathered in, this plaid pattern is scaled-up to mimic the unique effect.

Tête-à-tête is an impressive conversation between friends who love to talk. A technical marvel to manufacture, this design has a little stretch to it and is great for upholstery. Each color has a different voice: some hushed and low, others loud and deep. The colors speak to each other as they weave their way through the collection.

After some time apart, nothing beats reuniting with Ms. Quilty. Designed by Ghislaine Vinas, an award-winning interior designer based in New York, this latest version of the indoor/outdoor classic has a stuffer pic in a matelassé construction. Featuring a repeat pattern inspired by ocean mollusks, Ms. Quilty 2.0 has unexpected depth and texture while maintaining its uber soft touch.

HBF Textiles’ purr-fectly comfortable Comfort Zone pattern is back, with seven new ‘friends’ that round out a complete pastel and saturated gradient, with mix and match options. Made from polyester/cotton yarns, these uncrushable velvety fabrics are perfect for any space that is designed to be a ‘happy place’ and with 22 total color options, there’s surely something for everyone.

Inspired by the concept of social gathering, HBF Textiles tenderly twisted, bundled, and collected a bouquet of chenille yarns to create Gather. Thick and thin yarns in a speckled palette make this cloth feel as good as it looks. With its hi-low depth, Gather brings comfort, color, and texture to any room.

Hard-working and heart-warming, all five patterns in the Reunion collection are PFAS free, meet third-party certified SCS Indoor Advantage Gold and HCWH Healthy Interiors Criteria, and some are bleach-cleanable - a true example of art meets function. Designers can choose any or all to create a sense of dimension and tactility with inviting yarns and unique constructions like Chenille Boucle, Matelassé, Planted Warp and Velvet. Prices range from $55 to $98 per yard.
