Designed as a visionary concept intended to draw people together and inspire collaboration, Hightower introduces Picnic by +Halle. +Halle, a Hightower brand partner, represents a brave new generation of product designers.

Picnic is a collection designed in collaboration with Form Us With Love. It is the result of one of +Halle's Annual Briefings, which brings designers and thought leaders together. The theme of last year's briefing was “sharing”, and +Halle looked to designers to envision a collection that brought people together in a sustainable fashion. As a result, Picnic breaks traditional design and embraces a new generation of collaboration by fusing the world of innovative design with functionality and community.

From the ability to join together for a quick discussion surrounding Picnic's bar-height model or to enjoy a meal together at Picnic's café height model, the product is versatile in its applications. The design transforms the concept of an outdoor picnic into an innovative, collaborative space for indoor use, making it an excellent product for high-traffic areas, small spaces, or communal work areas. The formation creates a shield that provides privacy and decreases outside distractions, allowing people to maintain focus. In this face-to-face setting, Picnic creates a natural environment for discussion.

"The loss of camaraderie during the pandemic inspired us to seek out a way for people to regain collective trust within public spaces," said Natalie Hartkopf, CEO of Hightower. "Picnic's innovative design, coupled with its different configurations, allows people to come together and interact as they would around a campfire, but indoors."

Picnic incorporates seating and a table into one unit, serving as a multi-unit meeting, dining, and collaboration zone. Picnic is available in two diameters - 60" or 70" and two heights, café, and bar. Each design configuration shares the same aesthetic featuring a round frame with upholstered seating centered around a circular table. Picnic is available in a black or light gray steel frame with the option of a solid oak tabletop in Black Stain, Clear Lacquer, or Soaped. Custom powder-coat frames are also available for additional color choices.
