Introducing: Encore's String, a New Collection of Meeting Tables
Adding a new dimension to its casual meeting spaces offering, Encore introduces String Games, an expansive collection of tables that combines familiar design elements with its own unique personality for a fresh approach to the genre.
Designed by Ramsey Madsen and Jim Contois, in collaboration with Encore’s in-house product engineers, String Games delivers a contemporary take on the traditional Parson’s table, and further distinguishes itself with metal accent details that appear to pass fluidly through the solid wood frames like taut strings – hence the name. Offered in standard and premium finish options, these metal accents can be as subtle, or bold, as its surroundings dictate.
Tables are available in seated and bar heights, with three depths and four lengths to accommodate all manner of meeting space footprints. Finish options are also in abundance, to include ash, maple and white oak veneer, laminate and Formica ColorCore® 2, in addition to a solid surface option for the table top. And while interior and exterior metal accents are a standard feature, tables can also be specified without them, or in partial increments to enable end-to-end connections without limitation.
In addition to its options-oriented, flexible nature, String Games was also designed to accommodate ever-important technology requirements, but in a discreet way, ensuring the focus stays on its elegant form. Bases and the underside of tables feature easily removable panels for wire management convenience befitting the various power units available for the series. To ensure all preferences are met, technology units themselves can be positioned on the table top, or side-mounted on panel bases.
“We know many iterations of the classic Parson’s table exist in the marketplace, which is why it was so important for String Games to really stand apart,” says Tammie Alciatore, Encore’s Director of Marketing. “The flexibility it affords, both aesthetically and functionally, together with its enduring quality and competitive price point, delivers a value proposition beyond the expected to really put it in a class by itself”.
Adaptable to a range of commercial interiors, String Games is the place to be, whether it’s for checking-in with teams, coming together for impromptu collaborative sessions or getting in a moment of personal time.
