AIS Expands Calibrate Series with Calibrate Community
AIS has expanded its popular Calibrate® Series with Calibrate® Community – a spine-based benching system that combines the substance of private offices with the warmth of residential design for an open-plan solution that easily can be changed up depending on need.
Using the breadth of the Calibrate Series – Calibrate® Casegoods in private offices, Calibrate® Conferencing in meeting areas and Calibrate Community in open spaces – it’s now possible to have design continuity throughout the office environment.
The newest addition, Calibrate Community is designed for organizations that are transitioning to open environments from private offices yet still require degrees of privacy. Its scale and design are also ideal for shared semi-private offices that can transform to meeting areas, when desired.
The system can be designed to support a wide range of desking for individuals as well as team collaborative spaces.
“Calibrate Community is an open plan solution for those who seek an alternative to panels and want a more substantial workspace with great flexibility,” AIS Executive Vice President of Product Development Bill Stewich said. “The system can define departments, create boundaries and infuse dimensionality. Its sophisticated, scalable design integrates with other products and extends continuity across the floorplate.”
Expands the Calibrate Series
Calibrate Community uniquely expands the Calibrate Series into the open plan and intentionally integrates with all elements in the product line – including Calibrate Laminate Storage – making it easy to stack storage on or under the Community spine.
When Calibrate Casegoods and Conferencing are included, finishes and dimensions align for a seamless workplace interior.
Additionally, AIS’s Day-to-Day™ fixed and height-adjustable tables can be specified with Calibrate Community for added ergonomics and flexibility.
Sophisticated, scalable design
Calibrate Community can easily support a wide range of user needs and group requirements, whether for individuals, small teams or large departments. The system offers multiple height and width options, which naturally create and define user space while injecting greater dimensionality.
Calibrate Community is distinguished and anchored by its laminated spine. When combined with Calibrate Series upper and lower storage elements, the spine can help establish boundaries and manage access to teammates without the need for panels or walls.
An optional integrated rolling worksurface track lets users move and change up their workstation swiftly.
“Teams today work in many different ways. Calibrate Community was designed to support the unique needs of an organization while creating a sense of place and permanence for individual users. It’s the entire work community that we’re supporting,” Stewich said.
Space can be further defined and visual privacy enhanced through materials specification, such as fabric tackboards and screens, whiteboards and glass upmount screens.
Calibrate Community is offered in all AIS Grade A laminates, with more than 20 laminates that are standard.
Engineered for power and user convenience
Through the spine, Calibrate Community carries and conceals power and data at three different heights and two different widths. The power management built into Calibrate Community conceals all cords with the flip of its access panel. Grommets can be specified for increased cable management.
The easily accessed power is never impeded by worksurfaces; flip-door access makes plugging in quick at a height that’s easy for users. When worksurfaces roll into a different application, users cords roll right with it because of the convenient 1-inch opening.
Calibrate Community integrates wireless charging into its design, with optional wireless pucks available throughout the platform.
