New Coworking With Childcare Service Opens In NYC

BrookLearn is a new coworking space in New York City that offers childcare services.

  • The space offers childcare services for children ages 0 to 5.

  • BrookLearn aims to make it easier for parents to balance work and parenting duties as many continue to work remotely.

  • One of the biggest struggles working parents have had since the onset of the pandemic is balancing work with parenting duties, especially with childcare centers closed due to government guidelines.

BrookLearn, a new coworking space in New York City, is hoping to make the lives of working parents easier. Currently in soft launch mode, BrookLearn will provide coworking and playspace for local families. The coworking space offers a combination of kids play gym and a variety of workstations.

The 35,000 square foot venue is located in Brooklyn’s Carroll Gardens and parents are encouraged to drop off their children in a staff-supervised playspace and then go to work in an adjacent shared office area.

“We saw our customers yearning to have it all,” explains John Lehman, BrookLearn Founder, and veteran BoCoCa business operator. The former Kidville owner, working father of 3 and husband to a working mom quickly pivoted from his COVID-friendly pod model to this new ‘simpler’ arrangement. “Ease and comfort of lifestyle have taken precedence in our new world and with work from home being loud, messy, and sometimes impossible, we thought, ‘why not take Home to Work; removing the pandemonium part?’.”

BrookLearn provides childcare services for children ages 0 to 5. While parents can choose to get a coworking and playspace membership, the coworking operator also offers a Playspace-only membership for parents searching only for a childcare service.
